Crawford County has an amazing range of natural features and places of interest.  There are lakes, rivers, parks, forests, and trails.  You can go camping, fishing, hunting, snow shoeing, skiing, walking, biking, swimming, canoeing, and boating.  You can find wild berries and mushrooms, or see Kirtland Warblers, turkeys, eagles, and deer.

The Canoe Marathon attracts participants and visitors from all over the world.  The national, state, and local parks attract travelers from every direction.  Stories of Chief Shoppenagon, Fred Bear, Hartwick Pines, Wellington, Pere Cheney, railroads, trappers, and river men provide a glimpse of its rich history.
